Product Introduction

High Purity Nickel Metal from CX Cast Steel is a refined-grade feedstock engineered for critical metallurgical applications that require stringent chemical control.

Through secondary vacuum refining, we significantly lower harmful tramp elements-specifically sulfur (S), phosphorus (P), carbon (C), iron (Fe), and copper (Cu)-well below the thresholds of standard electrolytic nickel.

This raw material is dedicated to vacuum induction melting (VIM) and vacuum arc remelting (VAR) systems producing aerospace-grade superalloys, corrosion-resistant materials, and specialty steels.

Product Advantages

Trace Impurity Control

Sulfur and phosphorus are restricted to ≤ 0.001% (10 ppm), preventing hot shortness and grain boundary cracking during subsequent hot working.

Low Volatility in Vacuum Melts

Highly compatible with VIM and VAR processes; ensures stable melt behavior with zero foreign slag inclusion.

Full Batch Traceability

Every shipment is linked to a unique heat number, backed by a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) and Certificate of Analysis (COA).

Flexible Customization

Ability to customize dimensions, shapes, and tighten target element caps according to your specific alloy design.

Target Applications

Superalloy Production

Feedstock for single-crystal turbine blades, jet engine components, and gas turbine disks.

Vacuum Metallurgy

High-purity base metal for vacuum induction melting and vacuum arc remelting.

Corrosion-Resistant Alloys

Raw material for nickel-copper and nickel-chromium systems used in chemical and nuclear engineering.

Research & Development

High-purity material for laboratory alloy blending and sputtering target formulation.

Quality Control Process

Raw Material Audit: Selection and pre-screening of primary nickel inputs.

Vacuum Refining: Secondary melting to gasify and separate volatile elements.

Chemical Verification: Internal testing using ICP-OES and GDMS (Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry) for ppm-level precision.

Heat Number Assignment: Linking the verified chemical matrix to the specific furnace batch.

Anti-Oxidation Packaging: Materials are vacuum-sealed with industrial desiccant and packed into IPPC-certified, fumigation-free wooden crates.

FAQ

Q: What purity ranges can you guarantee?

A: Our standard grade offers 99.8% to 99.95% Ni. For advanced electronics or research applications, we can refine up to 99.99% purity upon request.

Q: What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

A: For standard stock shapes (cut blocks or shots), we accept trial orders of 50kg–100kg for laboratory qualification. For custom element caps or custom geometries, MOQ will vary based on furnace sizing.

Q: How do you verify chemical composition?

A: Every furnace heat is tested using ICP-OES and GDMS. A full Mill Test Certificate (MTC) detailing the exact chemical composition down to the ppm level accompanies every delivery.

Q: Do you support third-party inspection?

A: Yes. Buyers can arrange pre-shipment inspections at our facility through independent bodies such as SGS, Bureau Veritas (BV), or Intertek.

Q: What is the standard packaging for maritime freight?

A: To prevent surface oxidation, all pieces are vacuum-sealed in heavy-duty polymer bags with desiccants, then secured in steel-banded, fumigation-free export wooden cases.
